At Health Support Plus, compassion, honesty, and genuine care are at the core of everything we do — we support people like family.
As proud members of the Rainbow Region community, we celebrate its rich diversity and wholeheartedly embrace multiculturalism. We take a holistic, systems-based approach, involving families and carers as active partners in the services we provide. We believe everyone deserves to feel seen, heard, and valued, and we strive to create a warm, welcoming environment where people know they are safe and supported.
Our services are shaped by the needs of the individuals and communities we serve, because we understand that the best support is personal, flexible, and grounded in trust.
Based in the Northern Rivers of NSW, we deliver support in ways that suit your situation — whether in person or virtually — particularly in response to the challenges our region has faced from recent natural disasters.
About us
Mark Davis, Director
Mark spent much of his childhood in the Northern Rivers and returned to the region several years ago, quickly becoming a well-respected member of the community. Through his private practice and involvement with Replenish Church in West Ballina, Mark has provided counselling and mental fitness opportunities to both young people and adults.
With over 15 years of experience in the community welfare sector, Mark has specialised in working with young people — particularly young men — and is a certified trauma professional. His extensive background as a counsellor and youth worker has given him deep insight into the complexities of trauma and the lasting impacts it can have on individuals and families.
Mark is also an accredited Mental Health Social Worker with the Australian Association of Social Workers and holds a Medicare provider number. His qualifications are complemented by a diverse professional background, which informs his grounded, commonsense approach to service delivery and his strong commitment to honesty and accountability.
He has developed and delivered a number of programs focusing on masculinity, leadership, and the intersection of sport and mental health. Drawing on nearly two decades of experience in boxing and martial arts, Mark incorporates these disciplines into his work to help clients build emotional regulation skills and overall wellbeing through structured, strength-based approaches.
Having presented his work at both national and international conferences, Mark now brings his expertise to Health Support Plus, where he is dedicated to supporting participants of the NDIS with creativity, empathy, and a deep understanding of individual needs.
Kaylin Prasad, Director
Kaylin grew up in both Fiji and Sydney before relocating to the Northern Rivers several years ago. With over 20 years of experience, she has been a dedicated presence in the region as a Registered Nurse specialising in mental health.
Highly skilled and deeply compassionate, Kaylin is committed to supporting individuals with complex mental health and behavioural needs. Her extensive experience spans both acute and community mental health settings, including crisis intervention roles, where she has supported high-risk clients through some of their most challenging moments.
Kaylin brings a holistic, person-centred approach to care, blending clinical expertise with therapeutic modalities. Her background in aged care has given her a strong understanding of the unique mental health challenges faced by older adults, including dementia-related behaviours, grief, and trauma.
In addition to her mental health work, Kaylin delivers quality healthcare in the comfort of her clients' homes. She provides expert wound care, medication management, and personalised medical support—tailored to each person’s unique needs—because she believes your health and wellbeing matter deeply.
As a certified Level 2 Yoga Teacher, also trained in trauma-sensitive yoga, Kaylin incorporates body-based practices into her care to support emotional regulation, body awareness, and trauma recovery. Her approach is grounded in evidence-based practice and guided by empathy, dignity, and cultural sensitivity.
Kaylin is passionate about creating safe, inclusive, and empowering environments where people feel heard, supported, and truly valued on their mental health and healing journey.
